Sonnedix has reached 251 MW of operating capacity in Italy with its latest acquisition of two ground-mounted solar PV plants from Adoria Partners Srl, an Italian investment boutique that owns and operates photovoltaic plants and wind farms.

The 1.6 MW portfolio is under the Italian Conto Energia (feed-in tariff) scheme and has been in operation since 2011. The plants are all located in the Marche region in central Italy.

"We're kicking off 2021 with tremendous positive energy, determined to continue expanding our global platform and, with it, the use of solar energy worldwide", said Axel Thiemann, CEO of Sonnedix. "This newest addition to our Italian portfolio supports out sustainable growth strategy and allows us to deliver on our long-term commitment to the Italian market".

The acquisition demonstrates the variety of Sonnedix's portfolio, positioning the company as a leading player in the country's solar PV generation sector. Sonnedix continues to actively seek opportunities to expand its presence globally through acquisitions and the development of solar photovoltaic projects.

On this transaction, Sonnedix was advised by Stephenson Harwood (Legal), REA S.r.l. (Technical), RSM Studio Palea Lauri Gerla (Tax) as well as LVC ASIA Pacific Ltd (M&A).
