Clenergy is proud to announce it is supplying mounting systems for a solar power plant in Japan. The project covers 370,000 square meters of land, with a total installation of 24.8MW and an estimated power generation of 26.1 million kWh per year. This is equal to the annual energy consumption of 7,000 households. The large-scale solar power plant is located in a 37 hectare private and communal forest in Nasushiobara City, Japan. Construction began in June 2014 and the plant is expected to begin operations in September 2015.
A ground mount product called SolarTerrace II-A from the PV-ezRack range is used for this project. Clenergy is also pleased to announce an agreement for nature conservation based on the local Forest Act for this project. This act regulates the development of forested areas regarding conservation, and rehabilitation of the natural environment. “We’re glad to see that the project is a sustainable development to the environment and will generate more green power for Japan.
