Our main production plants directed by Alessandro Barin and have an annual production capacity of 1 GW/year. Our solar panels are produced on a 20,000 m2 site, with a highly automated line, with rigid quality controls implemented throughout the entire process, to guarantee maximum quality and traceability for every single item. We also have another production plant located in Europe. We have been manufacturing solar panels for over 15 years, which is quite a number considering the relatively young market we operate in.FuturaSun uses only raw materials of finest quality from renowned suppliers, stored in compliance with stringent criteria for temperature and humidity control. All production sites are periodically inspected by international accreditation bodies, as further confirmation of the high quality of our production process.
A well-made photovoltaic module can last up to 40 years. That is why, thanks to our long experience in the industry, we only select raw materials of the best quality and traceable origin and process them in a highly automated production process. Our customers’ satisfaction is the best confirmation of the high quality of our products. Over the years, we have collected hundreds of third-party certifications on countless technical aspects of photovoltaic modules. All of us at FuturaSun work daily to deliver a high-performance and long-lasting product to our customers.
Our team has over 20 years of experience in the production of PV modules. FuturaSun modules are produced in highly automated lines and with strict quality controls throughout the process to ensure the highest quality and traceability of each individual part.
100% EL TEST
We perform the electroluminescence test on all our modules, several times!Electroluminescence (EL) is a test similar to ‘X-rays’.
FuturaSun tests all modules before and after the lamination process to ensure the mechanical integrity and quality of the cells used. We further sample-test all our products in third-party laboratories.
Triple ISO Certification
In addition to product certifications, all our production facilities are certified according to the standards
ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
ISO 14001 Environmental management systems
ISO 45001 Occupational health and safety management systems
Installable in extreme environments
In our module range, we have several products, some of which are suitable for snow loads of up to 7000 Pa, or 700 kg/sqm, and resistant to hail storms.
Energy even at high temperatures thanks to optimal temperature coefficients
Specific tests conducted among others at TÜV Rheinland, the KACST laboratory in Saudi Arabia, or DEKRA demonstrate the perfect functioning of FuturaSun modules at high temperatures. This means that the modules generate more energy at high operating temperatures than modules from other manufacturers.

These panels, provided by FuturaSun, are projected to achieve an energy saving of approximately 5% of the museum’s total electricity consumption, fully covering the lighting needs of the exhibition galleries. The museum emphasized that, although the panels are invisible from the street, the installation was meticulously integrated into the building’s architecture, in line with the 2024-25 environmental sustainability plan. The 80 kW photovoltaic system received preliminary approval from both Gehry and the city authorities of Bilbao.
FuturaSun was established in 2008 by a team of managers in Veneto, Italy’s hub of the PV industry. However, FuturaSun is not one of those many solar companies which enjoyed extremely rapid growth during the years of photovoltaic boom: we actually started our company just at the time when the first signs of the sector’s decline began to show in Italy, only to plummet in the subsequent years. So while several big players disappeared from the PV scene, FuturaSun has continued along its journey of growth, initially taking small steps and gaining momentum later. Unlike other Italian solar companies, we immediately oriented ourselves towards foreign markets. Today we sell in over 70 countries , and have achieved double-digit sales growth year on year.
