Solar FlexRack Racking Solution is Installed in Iowa's 2.3MW Solar Electric Project
Solar FlexRack, a division of Northern States Metals and an innovative leader in photovoltaic mounting and tracking solutions, announced today an utility-scale solar power generation project in Iowa, a 2.3MW plant (the series which will include 5 systems and total 5.5MW) is installed with the smartest racking solution available, the best-in-class G3 Fixed Tilt system. One of the most cost-effective racking solutions, Solar FlexRack's G3 Series was independently verified for its ease and speed of installation. Developed and installed by Azimuth Energy, the installations under construction are primarily located in the central and eastern regions of the Hawkeye State. Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) will commission the carbon-free, solar plants and the clean energy will be delivered to their membership. -

Canadian Solar and EDF Partner to Construct 191.5MW Solar Energy Project in Brazil
Canadian Solar Inc. and EDF Energies Nouvelles announced today the sale of 80% interest in Canadian Solar's Pirapora I solar energy project in Brazil to EDF Energies Nouvelles' local subsidiary, EDF EN do Brasil. The 191.5MWp Project is starting construction and expects to reach commercial operation in the third quarter of 2017. Canadian Solar will supply the modules for the Project from its new 360MWp modules factory established in Brazil to support the local market. -

KACO New Energy to Supply 50MW of Inverter Capacity to the Aldo Grup
KACO new energy has signed a deal with the Turkish Aldo Grup to supply inverters having a total capacity of 50 megawatts. The blueplanet 50.0 TL3 INT units from the Germany-based manufacturer are to be used in a range of projects to be financed and planned by the Aldo Grup between now and the end of 2017. -

sPower Secures $786 Million in Capital Commitments for Nine Solar Projects
sPower announced today the completion of a tax equity investment and syndicated construction and term loan facility totaling $786 million. KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc. acted as Coordinating Lead Arranger for the syndicated debt facility totaling $519 million. KeyBank N.A., CIT Bank N.A., CoBank ACB, Coöperatieve Rabobank U.A., Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale (Nord/LB), Siemens Financial Services, Inc. and Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. were involved. The capital will be used to finance a group of nine solar projects which, when fully operational, will generate 339.4MW of renewable energy. While most of the projects are under construction, two recently achieved COD. -
