Schmid Group Starts to Set Up a Fully Integrated PV Manufacturing Facility in Iran
The Industrial Development & Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) and Schmid Group now start a collaboration to establish a fully integrated photovoltaic manufacturing plant in Iran. The state of the art manufacturing facility will include the entire photovoltaics value chain, including production of polysilicon, wafer, solar cell and module. -

ReneSola Signs Framework Agreement to Develop 116MW Projects in Turkey
ReneSola Ltd today announced that it has formed a partnership with UCK Group to develop a pipeline of solar power projects in Turkey with a total installed capacity of 116MW. All of the projects are unlicensed thus qualifying for the Feed-in-Tariff of $134/Mwh. -

Midsummer AB Surpasses Chinese Solar Module Efficiency Requirements
Midsummer recently passed this requirement by the Chinese authorities by increasing the efficiency of its CIGS thin film solar modules to above 13 per cent (corresponding to 14.3 per cent aperture area). The tests were carried out and verified by the certified Japanese independent testing laboratory Chemitox, Inc in March 2016. -

BayWa r.e. Signs PPA at Vine Farm Solar Park in England
At the beginning of May 2016, BayWa r.e. signed a long term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the Vine Farm solar park, which was recently commissioned in the UK. This PPA allows for the sale of power generated by the park at a fixed price for a period of 15 years. The contractual partner is Nationwide Building Society. The Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROCs), issued alongside the power generated, will be sold to SSE Energy Supply Limited. -
