J.v.G Thoma Builds Solar Plant in Poland
It finally happened. In a few days, the new solarplant is going to be launched that J.v.G. Thoma has jointly "booted up" in Poland. The installed components included Stringer, Robot Layup, Busing, Laminator, Trim, Framer and Flasher. The initial manufacturing of modules will be supervised by experts from Germany. Approximately 100kW are expected to be generated there. -

SunEdison Commissions 1.2MW of Solar for Coconino County, Ariz.
SunEdison, Inc. celebrated the commissioning of 1.2MW DC of solar carport and rooftop systems at four Coconino County, Ariz., government facilities. The buildings include the county's King Street Community Services building, law enforcement administration facility, juvenile detention center and correctional facility. -

Aleo Solar Announces Expansion with Cell Production in Germany
Aleo Solar GmbH is set to establish its own cell production facility in Germany. From 2016 approximately 200MW of polycrystalline and monocrystalline solar cells are planned for manufacture at Aleo’s factory in Prenzlau (Brandenburg, Germany). The cell production operation will be carried out by Aleo Sunrise GmbH, with almost 100 new jobs being created. -

SunPower to Build 20MW Solar Power Plant in Ariziona
Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative (SSVEC) and SunPower announced today that SSVEC has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with SunPower to build a 20MW (AC) solar PV power plant in Cochise County, Ariz. Expected to be operational by the end of 2016, the plant is anticipated to generate enough electricity to serve the needs of approximately 4,500 homes. -
