Hanwha Q CELLS Acquires 6.46MW Solar Farm from Green Hedge Group
Green Hedge Group and Hanwha Q CELLS today announced that the internationally leading PV provider has acquired the project rights to build the Tower Hill solar farm in South Gloucestershire, UK, for an undisclosed amount. Green Hedge has successfully taken the 6.46MW project from inception through to planning consent and a ready-to-build state. The financials of the acquisition have not been disclosed. -

Trina Solar Receives TUV Rheinland Power Measurement UAS Certificate
Trina Solar Limited today announced that its State Key Laboratory Testing Center became the first testing center in the solar industry to receivethe Power Measurement Uncertainty Assessment Service ("UAS") Certificate from TUV Rheinland. This certificate validates the accuracy of on-site power measurements recorded at the Trina Solar State Key Laboratory Testing Center. Following the certification, all products assessed by the Company's State Key Laboratory Testing Center will carry a TUV Rheinland certification mark. -

Luxor Solar to Install 360kW PV System in Croatia
Luxor Solar GmbH has built a green-field solar system in Croatia with a capacity of 360kW. The installation was realised with a strategic project partner and was connected to the grid last year. A further installation of similar size is due to be constructed in spring 2015 before the relevant licence becomes invalid. -

SMA Solar Technology AG Plans Global Staff Reductions
The Managing Board of SMA Solar Technology AG is anticipating a decline in sales. For 2014, the Managing Board is confirming the upper end of the sales forecast of €790 million and a loss of up to €115 million. Due to the lower level of sales, the SMA Managing Board is planning to cut approximately 1,600 full-time positions in all functional areas by June 30, 2015. -
