Hanwha Q CELLS Japan today announced the completion and grid connection of the 24MW "Hanwha Solar Power Kitsuki" PV power plant in Kitsuki, Oita prefecture in south-western Japan. The ground-mounted power plant consists of nearly 100,000 high quality Q.PRO-G3 solar panels and will generate an estimated 24,000MWh of clean energy per year – enough to power more than 7,000 local households. Hanwha Q CELLS Japan has succeeded in installing the nearly 100,000 Q CELLS photovoltaic modules on a 300,000m² site using a construction method for mountain slopes by utilizing geographical features. -

Clenergy to Launch PV Poverty Alleviation Project
A new solar PV project co-supported by Clenergy for poverty alleviation recently held a kick off ceremony in Mengyin County, Shandong. The project was launched by Mengyin County Government and supported by Clenergy and Yingda. Clenergy has donated its PV-ezRack mounting system to the project as well as provided free consultation to help with construction. The electricity the system will produce will be sold to the state grid and the income through that will be utilized to boost the local economy by the Mengyin County Government. -

Hanwha SolarOne to Develop 50MW of Distributed Generation Projects
Hanwha SolarOne Co., Ltd. today announced it has signed an investment cooperation agreement with Guangxi - Asean Economic Development Zone ("GAEDZ") Administrative Committee to establish a long-term strategic partnership with the aim to develop distributed generation (DG) PV projects. GAEDZ will help secure rooftop space, facilitate project approval and grid connection, as well as aid with obtaining tax preferences and project financing. As part of the strategic partnership Hanwha SolarOne intends to develop, own and operate 50MW of distributed generation projects in GAEDZ. Either party is able to cancel the agreement with 90 day's notification.
