Sunways Reports the Third Quarter 2012 Results
Business operations of Sunways AG in the third quarter of 2012 were impacted by the situation in the markets, such as the continuously prevailing global oversupply of components for solar systems, as well as by economic framework conditions, mainly the Euro crisis. The demand for photovoltaic products and solutions decreased significantly in the third quarter. In Germany, the amendment to the Renewable Energies Act (EEG) adopted with retroactive effect led to a marked decline in new system installations. Demand in Italy also declined when the Conto Energia 5 came into force. In addition, from July through September liquidity pressures experienced by many companies in Germany and abroad resulted in a high supply level in the markets and, correspondingly, strong pressure on prices. "At the current level, manufacturers, in particular those from Europe, are hardly able to charge cost-covering prices", says Michael Wilhelm, Chairman of the Management Board of photovoltaics specialist Sunways.

Solar Frontier to Supply Thin-film Modules for Aikawa Press
On Nov. 28, 2012, Solar Frontier announced that it has been selected by Aikawa Press Industry Co., Ltd. to supply its thin-film CIS modules for the "Aikawa Press Takane Plant Megasolar" project. This is the first utility-scalesolar project in the privatesector to start construction in Yamanashi Prefecture. The ground-breaking ceremony was attended by Yukihiro Oyama, Executive Officer, Solar Frontier, and Takeshi Aikawa, Chairman and President of Aikawa Press, among other dignitaries.

SunEdison Closes R2.6B in Funding for 58MW South Africa Solar Projects
On Nov. 28, 2012, SunEdison, in partnership with Chint Solar, the Public Investment Corporation, and the Kurisani Youth Development Trust, announced that it has closed R2.6 Billion (US$314 million) in long-term debt and equity financing for two utility solar projects in Limpopo Province, South Africa. Standard Bank and Futuregrowth Asset Management are the two senior debt providers supporting both projects.

Yingli Green Energy to Supply 200MW PV Modules to Fluor Corporation
On Nov. 27, 2012, Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited announced that its subsidiary, Yingli Green Energy Americas ("Yingli Americas"), has entered into the Company's largest project supply agreement to date. Yingli Americas was selected to supply 200 MW-dc of utility-scale solar PV modules for the Centinela Solar Energy Facility Project ("Centinela Project"), which is segmented in two phases, each phase with a separate release notice, currently pending notification for the second phase. The 170 megawatt-ac project, designed to be one of the largest solar projects in the world, is situated on 1,600 acres approximately 90 miles east of San Diego in Imperial County, California, and is estimated to achieve commercial operation in the middle of 2014.
